biography
Rafik first experience with magic was at the age of seven, when he saw a magic performance at his school in Tunisia. He eagerly wanted to know how the magic happened, but of course the magician didn't spill his secrets. He got so enchanted about this new, mysterious world that he ran straight to home and cried to his parents "I want to be a magician!!". It didn't take long when his wish came true as his father had a friend in France who sent a magic book to him. With this book he started to practice diligently every day and soon he was showing his new magic skills to everybody he knew. To this day that book is the best gift of Rafik's life and it's still in good keep back in Tunisia.
He was so passionate to learn everything that it didn't take long when he started performing in real shows. At the same time he started to save money to buy more books from Holland, Germany and other places. Gradually he built his shows bigger and better and decided that magic was something he wanted to dedicate his whole life to. He was only 16 when he head out in the world. First he ended up to Europe, where he learned from other magicians, books, videos and of course did his own shows and learned from experience. He studied hard about old ideas of magic, took the good and developed them further, and made them even more artistic and breathtaking. Like all the other great magicians, he also decided to design and build his own equipment, to suit his growing needs. Performing around Europe, Scandinavia and other countries he eventually landed in Finland. He got fond of Finland so much that he has spent the last eight years there, and even changed his name from "Universal Magician" to "Snow Tiger".
Once he settled in Finland, he started a magic school for people of age 7 to 16, with a fellow magician Heikki Takkinen. Together they teach the young wannabe magicians the basics of magic and other magic-related knowledge. The school resides in Käpylä, Helsinki and is open for all the interested youngsters.
